ARCHITECTURE

Why JAVA ??

ØJava is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems in 1995 ,is based on the concepts of C and C++. Ø ØIt was initially called “Oak ” but was later renamed to “Java ” . Ø ØEarlier day problems of portability and

platform independence were wiped out by “Java ” .

Ø ØIt inherits the concepts of OOP’s.

FEATURES OF JAVA :

ØThe Java Language is §Simple §Object Oriented §Platform-Independent §Robust §Secure §Distributed §Multithreaded

ABOUT MS - ACCESS

ØAccess is a relational database program . ØAccess is used to enter, edit, and analyze lists of data. ØAdvantages of Access §Duplicate data is minimized §Information is more accurate §Data entry is faster and easier §Information can be viewed and sorted in multiple ways. §Information is more secure §Information can be shared among several users §Information retrieval is faster and easier

SYSTEM DESIGN ØOUTPUT FORM DESIGN

§Efficient, intelligible output design should improve the system relationship with the user and help in decisionmaking. §Printouts should be designed around the output requirement of the user.

ØINPUT FORM DESIGN

§Input Design is the process of converting user originated computer based format. §The goal of designing input data is to make data entry as easy, logical and free from errors as far as possible.

MODULES ØThe software Exam Suite has 3 main modules. Ø a.Login Module b. c.Insertion to Database Module d. e.Extracting from Database Module

APPLICATIONS ØThis software helps to train the users before attending their real time exams. Ø ØThis can also be used in software companies to test the performance of their employees. Ø ØIt can also be used during campus interviews for testing the technical knowledge.

LIMITATIONS ØDuring unusual termination or system failure the exam may be interrupted. Ø ØIt is an offline application Ø ØIt is not so flexible as online examination suite

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT ØThe proposed system is purely an Exam Suite we can make this project as online where every customer using their E-mail ID can view their result details. Ø ØAlso, we can include online, updating by the authorized person. Ø ØWhen making online, Exam procedures and latest news about the Exam will be seen in our software. Ø ØAny comments can be included by the user.

CONCLUSION ØThe “ Exam Suite ” is a great improvement over the manual system like hand written exams. Ø ØThe computerization of the system has speed up the process and it is less time consuming. ØIt is very difficult to keep answer papers and all such things. Ø ØThe system avoids data redundancy and inconsistency. Ø ØIt provides security and integrity. ØData is easily retrieved. Thus the system is user friendly.
