Sejarah Gereja Katedral

Sejarah Gereja Katedral Jakarta Cathedral church building is now in St.Cathedral No.7B is the work of the architect of the church, Father Anthony Djikmans, SJ. He is a Pastor Netherlands. The building of this cathedral church was established in 1891 to replace the old church which collapsed on 9 April 1890 at 10:45 exactly 3 days after the celebration of Easter. Finally, on 21 April 1901 the cathedral church was completed with the neo-gothic style which was given the name "Church of Santa Maria taken to Heaven" was inaugurated and blessed by Mgr.Edmundus Sybradus.
